Privacy Policy

Legal · Last updated: 2026-10-23

This Privacy Policy explains how PodPaw (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the PodPaw mobile apps, website (including podpaw.app and related staging hosts such as dev.podpaw.app), and related services (together, the “Service”).

1. Who we are

PodPaw turns reading material into listen-able audio cards and related features (collections, notes, playback, and optional subscriptions).

If you have questions about this policy, contact us through the in-app support options or via the website at https://podpaw.app.

2. Information we collect

Account information: when you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive identifiers and profile data the provider shares with us (for example subject ID, email address if provided, and display name). Apple may provide a private relay email.

Content you submit: articles, URLs, text, notes, collection names, and similar material you add so we can generate cards and audio.

Usage and device data: app interactions, approximate diagnostics, language and appearance preferences, and technical logs needed to operate and secure the Service (for example request timing and error codes). We do not sell personal information.

Purchase data: subscription status may be processed via app stores and, where used, RevenueCat; we store entitlement state needed to unlock features.

3. How we use information

Provide and improve the Service: authenticate you, sync your library across devices and the web app, generate and stream audio, and remember preferences.

Operate infrastructure: store data in databases and object storage, run background jobs (for example audio generation and cleanup), and monitor reliability and abuse.

Communicate: respond to support requests and send essential service notices. We do not use your content to train third-party foundation models for unrelated products.

4. Processors and third parties

Cloudflare (Workers, D1, R2 and related services) hosts the API, web app, and media storage.

Google and Apple provide Sign in with Google / Sign in with Apple. Their privacy policies apply to their authentication services.

Text-to-speech and related AI providers (for example ElevenLabs, Fish Audio, or other providers we configure) process text you submit in order to generate audio. Media may be stored and delivered via our media CDN domains.

Payment platforms (Apple App Store, Google Play) and optional RevenueCat process purchases. We do not receive full payment card numbers.

5. Retention

We keep account and library data while your account is active. Generated audio and intermediate artifacts may be retained for a limited period (configured retention/inactivity windows) and then deleted or regenerated as needed.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us; we will delete or anonymize data unless we must retain it for security, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons.

6. Sharing

We share data with processors only to run the Service, when required by law, or to protect users and the Service against fraud or abuse. We do not sell personal information.

7. Security

We use industry-standard transport encryption (HTTPS), access controls, and signed session tokens. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please protect your device and sign-out on shared devices.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

9. International transfers

Your information may be processed in the countries where we and our processors operate, which may differ from your home country. We take steps appropriate to the Service’s architecture to protect data in transit and at rest.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. You can also disconnect Google/Apple access in those providers’ account settings and sign out in the app.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
